When your ad is properly placed, you will receive an approval message. Please be patient when uploading pictures since it may take several minutes. If you do not get the approval page, the resolution on your photograph is probably too high and must be lowered. Use an average to low resolution on your camera when you take your photos. You may also post your ad with no photos and complete the process. Email your photographs to customer services at ocfurnituretrader@cox.net and we will change the resolution to accommodate the website.

I received a message from someone saying they wanted to buy my item and have it shipped overseas. Should I attempt to do business with this person?

Absolutely not! Scam artists from Nigeria and around the world target websites such as this looking for private parties who sell anything on the web. They will ask for your home address and tell you they will send a cashiers check for “MORE” than the item is worth. If the bank is not able to tell that the check is fraudulent, they will deposit it in your account. You will be asked to wire the excess money to the alleged shipping company. A few days, weeks or months after the bank is notified of the fraud, you will be asked to reimburse the bank. For more details on this well known scam, contact www.snopes.com. I want to sell some furniture but I don’t have a digital camera. Can I still sell on your site?

Yes! You can send a regular photo of your item to OCFurnituretrader and we can scan it. Please contact customer service at 949-388-8107 for more details. If you live within 15 miles of San Clemente, a representative from OCFurnituretrader can photograph your items for a minimal fee.

What are the advantages to advertising on OCFURNITURETRADER.COM over the newspaper or other publications?

The first advantage is the cost. Posting an item in the local paper can cost up to three times what it does for a paid ad on OCFURNITURETRADER.COM. You don’t need to list your telephone number either. You can choose to have your email address hidden. You are able to fully describe your item for sale and are not limited by space. Yes! For an additional fee, you can place a featured ad that will put your ad near the top of the list on the home page. Priority placement will put your ad near the top of the list for the individual category.

Click the “lost password” section on the homepage. Your username and password will be sent to your email address.

I just placed an ad and paid for it through paypal. Why doesn’t it appear on the site immediately?

During the start-up phase of this site, all advertisements require administrative approval. This eliminates the posting of unauthorized advertisements that may violate the general rules of use including copyright violations and/or the posting of lewd or offensive photographs or materials. After payment is received, your ad should appear on the site within 48 hours.

How do I know that you are a reputable company?
